I have always heard of The Holocaust in Germany but; in the book All But My Life written by Gerda Weismann Klein she sheds a light of more details and conditions than what we have been exposed to of how Jews were tormented. I was torn about how her life was great until September 1st, 1939 and ever since her life would be changed. There is no way I could possibly understand nor imagine being in a predicament of having my family, loved ones and most prized possesions stripped from me. All But My Life seems as a nightmare or a book that belongs in a horror fiction section but this is reality and Mrs. Klein survives all the obstacles of being a jew during that war period. Some people take things for granted but after reading this book I guarantee you will be grateful knowing at anytime anything can happen.
